ROBERTO SNAIDERO

Born in Majano, in the province of Udine, in 1948. Degree in Economics and Commerce from the Università degli Studi of Trieste.

He began his professional career in 1973 as President of Lamborghini Spa, a manufacturer of skis and sportswear.

From 1984 to 1991, as President and CEO, he contributed to the success of Abaco Spa of Tolmezzo (Udine), a company that produces component kitchens, which thanks to a strategic development plan rapidly rose to a position of leadership in its market of reference, also gaining acclaim in the United States. For three years, starting in 1991, he was a member of the Business Committee of the regional branch of Confindustria, functioning as a spokesman for Friuli-based industrialists and, from 2002 to 2008 he worked in national Confindustria as a Member of the Council and the Board of Directors.

From 1996 to 2002, Roberto Snaidero was President of the Coordinamento Triveneto of Federlegno, from 2002 to 2008 he was President of national FederlegnoArredo. In 2008 he was appointed to the Board of Advisors of Cosmit Spa (Milano) on the organizing committee of the Salone del Mobile.

Roberto Snaidero has been a Member of the Board of the Chamber of Commerce Industry and Crafts of Udine, and a Member of the Presidential Committee of Confindustria Udine. He has served on the Board of Advisors of Promosedia, the company that promotes the spread on an international level of products made in Friuli in the area known as the “Chair Triangle”. In 1997 he founded Snaidero Engineering & Trading, Inc., where he is President and CEO, focusing on the contract sector for communities, furnishings for rest homes and complete turnkey projects for the production chain in the wood sector, including training of personnel and managerial consulting services.

He was also President of CATAS, a research centre and testing lab for the wood and furniture sector, and a facility that has gained great international acclaim. He was a Member of the Board of Directors of ICE (the Institute for Foreign Trade) based in Rome. In 2006 he founded, together with his sons, Erresse Invest Srl, a firm working in the field of financial investment. Since 2008 he has been Honorary President of Made Expo.

He was a member of the Board of Directors of CEI-BOIS Brussels (European Wood Federation). He is part of the Board of Directors of Comitato Leonardo.

In 2011 he was re-elected President of National FederlegnoArredo and became a member of the Council of the National Confindustria.

Since October 2012 he has been a member of the Technical Committee for internationalization of Confindustria.

Since October 2014 he has been President of Salone del Mobile Milano.
