Robert Bagdazian
Robert Bagdazian is the grandson of Asador and Haiganoush Bagdazian who escaped persecution in Turkey in the 1880's by immigrating to the United States. Robert graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a BS in human development. He later earned an MSW in social work with a medical health concentration from California State University, Sacramento. He worked as a counselor and rehabilitation social worker for many years in a major medical center and ancillary hospital where he served as a department supervisor and patient advocate, assisting the chronically ill and disabled who required intensive inpatient rehabilitation. Since 2006 he has been a development officer for Thomas Aquinas College, a small classical Catholic liberal arts college in Santa Paula, California, helping to raise funds and secure estate gifts for student financial aid and capital projects.
Since 1998 he has been the Chapter Administrator for the Ventura - N. Los Angeles Legatus Chapter. Legatus is an international organization of Catholic laymen and laywomen, comprising CEOs, presidents, managing partners, and business owners (with their spouses), from business and professional enterprises whose mission is to live, study, and spread their faith in their professional and business lives. Robert organizes and coordinates the chapter's monthly meetings where 30-40 members gather together for prayer, Mass, fellowship, and dinner with a speaker presentation and discussion.
Robert and his wife Mary have five children and three grandchildren, live in Santa Paula, CA and are parishioners at St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Catholic Church in Glendale, CA.
