Michael J. Brescia
Michael J. Brescia, MD is Executive Medical Director of Calvary Hospital. He received his medical degree from Georgetown University in 1958. He is co-founder and Executive Medical Director of Calvary Hospital, a fully accredited acute care hospital that cares for adult patients who suffer primarily from end stage cancer. He is the co-inventor of the Brescia-Cimino fistula, an internationally renowned methodology for hemodialysis that represents a milestone in the treatment of kidney disease. Dr. Brescia has received many awards acknowledging his professional work.
