Matt Laracy, with Mary Lynn his wife of 50 years, raised 7 children in Jersey City while working as a supervisor for UPS and teaching as a parish catechist and then as a high school religion teacher. Along with a group of family and friends, he founded a non-profit in Jersey City, NJ called Magnificat Home that offers a home to low-income women in two former convents. Since its beginning 12 years ago, Matt has been dedicated to directing Magnificat Home. He is also a lifelong student of Catholic theology, especially the legacy of St. John Paul and Pope Emeritus Benedict and is an admirer and friend of the ecclesial renewal movements.
