Jean-Paul Fitoussi
Jean-Paul Fitoussi is Professor Emeritus at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), and professor at the LUISS University Guido Carli, Rome. He is also a Member of the Center for Capitalism and Society at Columbia University. Since 2013 he is Co-Chairman of the HLEG (High-Level Expert Group at the OECD) on the “Measurement of Economic Performances and Social Progress”. Fitoussi contributed to the creation and development of the EBRD. From 1990 to 2010 he was President of the OFCE, and was a member of the Economic Analysis Committee of the French Prime Minister (1997 to 2012).Since 2016 he is a member of the Board of Directors of Banca Sella Holding. In 2016, together with Joseph Stiglitz and Amartya Sen, he received the Gold Medal of the Society for Progress for their work on well-being and sustainability. He also received the Pico della Mirandola award for his work in 2017. He is Officier de l’Ordre National du Mérite and Officier de la Legion d’Honneur in France, Grand Officer of the Order of Prince Henry in Portugal, and Grand Officer of Merit of the Italian Republic.
