Dawn Ford

Dawn Ford was born and raised in Danbury, CT.  She received a B.S. degree in Biology from The State University of New York at Brockport.  Early in her career, she worked in the fields of chemistry and environmental science.  After the birth of her three children, she pursued a master's degree in teaching from Sacred Heart University.  She taught second grade for ten years at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT.  For the past 4 years, Dawn's been teaching sixth grade math and science at Reed Intermediate School, also in Newtown.  Dawn has been married for 33 years, and she and her husband have called Newtown their home for the past 28 years.
