Carlo Torniai is an accomplished Data Scientist and executive manager with more than 20 years of experience in the fields of Computer Science, Data Science and Digital Transformation. He is currently based in Zurich, Switzerland where he is faculty at the AI Business School and serves as Advisory board member of Domino Data Lab (A software as a service platform that enables the creation and deployment of AI solutions). Prior to that he was Head of Data Science and Director of Digital Products Development at Pirelli, the Italian tyre maker. He has spent many years in US where up and down the west coast has first worked in Academia as researcher and as Assistant professor in the department of Medical Informatics of the Oregon Health and Science University and then spearheaded and managed the Product Excellence Data Science team at Tesla Motors in Palo Alto. He holds a PhD in Informatics and Multimedia and a MSc in Telecommunication Engineering from University of Florence and an Executive MBA from New York University.
