Annie Thompson teaches at St. John's College, Santa Fe. Her Ph.D. in English Literature is from the University of Virginia, where she studied modern and contemporary poetry and poetics as well as book history and textual criticism. Her work on the poet Susan Howe won the William Riley Parker Prize for an outstanding article in PMLA, and she is currently working on a book project entitled On Paper: Bookish Poetry in the Digital Age.
