Amets Arzallus Antia
Bertsolari (improvised oral literature, a kind of urban poet), journalist, and writer
Amets was born on November 9, 1983, in Hendaia, Basque Country. Influenced by his father, he began to improvise at the age of 8. He did all his academic formation in the Ikastolas (basque language schools) and graduated in Journalism at the Public University of Leioa (University of the Basque Country). He occasionally writes books and gets involved in journalistic projects.

— From 2005 to 2009, he conducted the central interviews for the weekly ARGIA. He interviewed Evo Morales, Manu Chao, Jose Luis Zumeta, Lucio Urtubia, and others.

— He carried out journalistic work in Bolivia (2006) and Palestine (2007).
As a writer, he co-authors the book Minan (SUSA publishing house, 2019) with Ibrahima Balde. The book was originally published in Basque and has been translated into more than ten languages, including English, Little Brother: A Refugee's Odyssey, Arcade 2021. He has received several literary awards, such as the English Pen Award in 2021, and has been mentioned and recommended by several personalities, such as Pope Francis.
In his life, Amets has been a civil activist on the issue of migrants and is himself the son of refugees.
