Why Have Children?
A conversation on demographic decline with Nicholas Eberstadt, Henry Wendt Chair in Political Economy, American Enterprise Institute, and Brad Wilcox, Professor of Sociology, University of Virginia, moderated by Margarita Mooney Clayton, Associate Professor of Congregational Studies, Princeton Theological Seminary
One current phenomena drawing attention is the steep decline in worldwide birth rates. Is this demographic drop-off a real problem when overpopulation has been presented for years as a real threat to our future? What are the most predictable consequences for society? What might be the main causes and most adequate remedies? These are some of the questions which the speakers will address in their conversation.
