A conversation on education in light of Fr. Luigi Giussani’s pedagogy with Hans Broekman, principal of Liverpool College, U.K., and Aaron Riches, professor of theology, Benedictine College in Atchison, KS, moderated by Amy Hickl, dean of Faculty, Notre Dame Academy School, Los Angeles
Fr. Giussani, the Italian priest who founded the international Catholic movement of Communion and Liberation, has been known to be an educator, able to communicate the faith in a persuasive way to many young people through an original pedagogical approach and method. Can his educational proposal work outside of the Italian system and at a different time, marked by a heavily ideological context? If so, why and how? Speakers are teachers who are familiar with Fr. Giussani's pedagogy and will address these questions through their first-hand experience with high school and college students.
